FWSA Game Information Line: 703-550-4107
Fairfax County Inclement Weather: 703-324-5264

All equipment is located in FWSA's storage shed at Pine Ridge. The shed is in the far right corner of the parking lot and is the second metal shed away from Field 6. All team reps have the combination to the lock. To open the lock, dial the numbers, push the lock in hard and then pull it out. Do not leave the lock hanging in the open position during Saturday games without scrambling the numbers.

Instructions for Picking up Equipment

The names of the fields are displayed on the left wall of the shed, along with a color code. Note that each piece of equipment (flags, net bag, liners, ladder, etc.) is also marked with that field's color code. When you pick up equipment for a specific field, sign it out on the sign-up sheet located on the right side near the entrance door. It is on a clipboard, with pen attached. Please fill in ALL the information requested.

  • Pine Ridge Grass Fields
At this time, all grass fields at Pine Ridge are being pre-lined and all goal nets are being left in place on the goals. Therefore ONLY flags/corner markers need to be taken out to the field prior to the first game and returned to the shed at the end of the last game. However, each FIRST game of the day, the HOME team is responsible for insuring that the lines are adequate and that the nets are in place, checking out appropriate equipment as necessary.

  • Turf Fields
Normally, the fields at EC LAWRENCE & WAKEFIELD PARK have goal nets and flags/corner markers already in place. Therefore, no equipment duties are required when playing on these fields.

Instructions for Returning Equipment

Equipment must be returned immediately after the last game of the day. When returning equipment, check the left wall for both the field name and the color code so as to place the equipment in the correct field slot. Flags should be positioned against the shed wall, with spikes pointing down between the skid and the wall, and the liner resting against the flags so as to keep them in place

Don't forget to sign in the equipment on the clipboard located on the right side of the shed near the entrance. Notify the Equipment Commissioner within 24 hours if any equipment is missing or damaged so it can be replaced or repaired prior to the next game.

Keep in mind Equipment is paid for out of your member dues so let's be sure to return it!

Field Duties For Game Day - New for Fall 2009

  • First Game - Home Team: Sign out all flags/corner markers and place them in the four corners of the playing field.
  • Last Game - Away Team: Retrieve all flags/corner markers, return them to the storage shed, and sign them in.

  • Our fields are the nicest around! Please help keep them this way by cleaning up all trash before leaving the field.
  • Alcohol is not permitted on Fairfax County Fields! This includes your fans!!
  • There is a ball pump in the storage locker. Remember to moisten the tip before inserting the needle in the ball.
